It's aired on the ABC network in the States. It recently started being aired on England's Channel 4 network.

it now relies on sensationlism each episode to keep afloat..

This particular suburb has a higher than national average of murders-break-ins-shootings-deaths-beatings-carjacking-hit-n-runs-comas-heart-attacks and the list goes on..

But the best thing is ... its all fun. Even the serious stuff there is presented in a way that it does not feel so weighty. Thats the best part about the show.

I don't think it can go one forever. Its not like CSI or Friends. Its a continuing story, so they will have to conclude it some how.
