there's also a new store that recently opened up along the line of karishma (towards the beginning of the block, near the bank on the corner)..i dont remember the name, but according to them, a lot of the fashions are from lahore. I'm not sure if they meant designers by that, but it's worth checking out too!

and y not in dallas?? lots of paki ppl look for sumthing new and glamorous here!..and i've seen ppl spending whatever amount of money to get sumthing new!

Zari boutique in NJ carries a few Maria B, Nilofer Shahid, Amir Adnan and some other Pakistani Designers. From what I know the owner doesn't buy directly from the designers but buys from the stores in Pakistan and then sells the clothes in her shop.

^^ I know about that as Maria told me about her, now she just buys from the Karachi Maria B on her own.I have seen the website, not very impressive though:)

The store (Zari Boutique) is actually quite decent, and the website doesn't really do it justice. She has some very nice outfits, and custom makes outfits too. Very expensive, but better than the stuff you get in JH. I've shopped from her store a few times, and get special occassion clothes from her sometimes. She's actually very nice and helpful with designs.
Amber... quick question... will you be showing any Maria B. clothing at the Dulhan Expo in LI next month?

^^ Alina closed her boutique called Passions. I think it burned down or something.We did do a Fashion Show in November where I met her.. We will be the headquaters in Dallas still, but for the USA, we r considering providing for other major stores...Just not in Dallas...:)
what about opening one store in Toronto/Mississauga? I know there is a huge demand for it and these cities have more desis then any other places.

I don't like the clothes at Zari boutique at all. I've been there a few times and the Maria B. outfits they sell are very out dated. I think she buys the old Maria B designs that are on sale at Maria's karachi outlet and then sells them for a ridiculous price here. The Maria B. outfits that Zari boutique had last year I had bought at the Maria B outlet back in 2000.

I have been to their store,its actually in Houston.Its been designed really well but the outfits were not too many I mean choice wise I didnt see a lot.More Bridals then formals or Semiformals

They sell HSY and Nomi Ansari outfits, I was going to get some clothes from them but I stopped myself. They are ridiculously priced, unless your willing to spend $700 for once simple outfit. Their stuff is amazing b/c it's original designer stuff but it's not just over priced but SUPER over priced.

Khazana in Edison. NJ on Oak Tree Road, carries some of the top designers from India. Very upscale.

Go to Raaz in Edison, NJ. Great collection, customer service and very resonable. Also, on site fitting service.
