Can someone please explain why are the poster submissions of a single person sitting down or looking into oblivion and wondering like an EMO ... What does that have to do with the actual two lines of poetry ... ???
It is really frustrating me that I can't tell why everyone is doing that in their posters ... The way I understood the two lines was this:
A person has been doing frivolous things in the past and had some bad experiences from those naughty things he did, so when people ask him to do more bad things he refuses and they think he is arrogant ... so these lines are him thinking about how others take him to be arrogant (maghrur) but really he has had bad experiences that he no longer wants to be part of it ... so how does that translate to a person looking lonely, as though he is stranded ???
But I’m guessing he really is being maghrur - not simply being mistaken for being maghrur … on account of his past problems … you can’t imagine Sultan Rahi thinking … “Last time I went off with some strange woman I got infected with Chlamydia this time I’m staying away”
Poetry ke ye hi khoobsoorti hai ke everyone views it apne hisaab se :@:
Lekin main jub apney hisab se samajh ta hoon main doosron ko bhi samjha sakta hoon ... agar koi apne hisaab se mujhey bhi samjha de to main maan bhi jaon !!!

let me try. In almost all the cultures (specially Desi one), the people who don't interact with others and remains alone are considered as rude (maghroor). and when someone keeps himself away from the public on the context:
Wo shehr main tha to uss ke liye auron se bhi milna padta tha
ab aise waise logon ke main naaz uthaon kis ke liye
A person showing no munh lagana attitude is considered as Rude and SaRRoo.
Well, here's what came to my mind when I read the sher...
Sharartain as in ,the masoom sharartain jo insan k chali jati hain ,hardships ,responsibilities etc k wajah se & when a person steps away from being over socializing ,over happy n shararti ,ppl mistake it to be ghuroor .
People who remain alone by their own choice are either:
a) Insane/Mad - hence anti-social
b) Pious/Spiritual/Sages doing some sort of reflecting
People who are left alone by others:
a) Is because the person is rude obnoxious and hence anti-social
b) They are all collectively being mean to him
Rude? I'm not sure ... My urdu is not great but I thought "maghrur" means "arrogant" ...
Baat ye hai ke wo apney marzi se un ke saat nahein geya ... because they will do things that may harm themselves ... and he doesn't want to harm himself again ... but the others think he is avoiding them because he is acting "holier than thou" ... hence maghrur ... I was about to accept your explanation muqawwee123 ... but I disagree that isolation is necessarily rudeness and whether maghrur means 'rude' or not ...

Yes I can agree with that ... but how does showing a single person stranded on a road or watching rain hit the window show that he has chosen to be alone on account of his responsibilities?
I'm sorry if I'm doing something un-Pakistani like ... Us lot in the UK like to analyse poems quite deeply ... but I have noticed how people in Pak prefer to merely recite poetry and let others decide how it affects them in the heart ... Which I think is also very important too.

Will be a lot more fun :D
ehsan bhai … meri bivi khoobsooraton mein ek khoobsoorat to hai … lekin ussey “khoobsoorati” kahna wa bhai wa !!! … She is not just beautiful but she is “beauty” incarnate … how poetic …
Beauty is indeed dumb … but it is not necessary that beautiful people are dumb … phew … lucky escape
(I don’t know why ehsan bhai wants me to get chittar all the time from my missus )
Agree that isolation is not necessarily rudeness, but others normally take it as rudeness. If a person don’t feel like interacting with the others, don’t want to party because he is missing someone its not rudeness, but other people take this sudden change as rudeness.
The person himself says:
Naye kapde badal kar jaon kahan aur baal banaon kis ke liye
Wo shakhs to shehr hi chhoR gaya main bahar jaon kisi ke liye
But people take his instance as:
Aankhon ka rang, baat ka lehja badal gaya.
Wo shakhs ek shaam mein kitna badal gaya.
