Hmmm...we just had a party at our house. We invited 5 couples who brought along with them 14 kids! There were two boys aged 10 who misbehaved to the extremes. They turned my beloved media room into a pillow fight wrestling ring. I still can't find my DVD remote control.
I am not going to invite those two families again. I am willing to divorce the friendship even though one of the friend's wife makes very good food. :(
Anyway, with toddlers you are safe. Just make sure your own toddler is willing to share his toys. Ask him before the party which toys he wouldn't mind sharing. Only those toys should be outside and the rest inside the closet.
If you really want to take care of the kids and make them happy, go to the dollar general store and buy a few items and put them in goody bags. hand those out and it will keep them busy.
You may also rent a latest DVD animation movie and play it for the kids.
Do the men and women mingle or do they sit segregated? I somehow always end up in the kitchen with the ladies. :D My friends hate me for that.
