Re: Demographics of Karachi and political representation
This is going to be a problem once things start getting better - perhaps 10-20 years from now - so in the future we might be having a debate like the US has about immigration.
I think we should legalize the current refugee Afghan - expelling them would require too much time and effort - and would also be a real dick thing to do.
Giving them a legal stake in the country might be more peaceful that trying to drive them out.
That would be the worst thing to do. You can't compare the Latinos to Afghans. And isn't the US called the land of immigrants? Pakistan has different social and geographical makeup. They are not loyal to Pakistan. They openly abuse Pakistan while leaching on its resources for the last three decades. Still, one must agree that Pashtun Afghans are not as anti-Pakistan as those tajik and hazara roaches who suck Pakistan dry and do everything under their capability to malign us.
The best thing would have been the annexation of Pashtun areas of Afghanistan to Pakistan. Unfortunately, none of the so-called leaders of Pakistan have tackled the issue well, starting from Bhutto who was the real architect of Afghan jihad.
