Democratic Candidates

Re: Democratic Candidates

Hilary once made 1000000 dollars from a 1000 dollar investment in cattle futures. She must know her pigs pretty well.

Re: Democratic Candidates

Playing on an argument, for clarity sake. Please explain:

I don't mind paying extra for the benefit we will all utilize. I pay taxes now, and I see they're used to maintain roadways, salt the streets during snowstorms, maintain other human services, etc. It's all fine. But, what if I don't want to get tagged with taxes for my next door neighbor who is a habitual drinker (leading to kidney failure), chain smoker (leading to various diseases), loves his/her big macs (obesity), and these are all things he/she can control. So, because of his/her poor voluntary choices, I should pay a part of their treatments that could otherwise have been averted if he/she practiced moderate health to begin with?

You understand what I mean? Where is the safety net to insure that if I pay into the combined pool, yet withdraw little or no benefit, I should be reimbursed to compensate me, or to reward me for maintaining a healthier lifestyle. Wouldn't that be a better incentive? And maybe this is something that has been mentioned as being a part of the broader policy, I do not know, and please excuse me for my ignorance.

Re: Democratic Candidates

NRA has always had many many sweethearts among democrats as well as republicans. Nothing new here. Don’t want your politicians in the pockets of lobbyists, dont vote for people whose campaigns are financed by these lobbies - which is the main cancer infesting America today - everything from war lobbies to obesity lobby.

Re: Democratic Candidates

You will Pay more in taxes, and get back more in savings from the health care plan. So yo come out ahead. The Clinton camp is stating half the truth - taxes will he raised.nwhile omitting the savings from healthcare plant hat are more than tax increase.

Hence the point you made about having to pay MORE for someone else's poor health is moot. Because you will pay LESS.

Lot of times, poor health is not just a choice. Those who earn minimum wage and having to work 60 to 80 hrs per week also live bin areas where you don't have good supermarkets with healthy food. The increase in taxes would help level the playing field. Soo ELEVERYONE has access to healthy food. Which will LOWER healthcare costs.

And by FSM's grace that we even pass this single payer plan (lol), the democrats would lose the next election when (gasp!) the taxes on middle class go up by ~$5000 each. Sanders is adding $15T in extra spending yet he isn't or hasn't said anything about cutting the ever rising defense spending. That is the only area that you can logically cut aside from SS / Medicare but those oldies actually vote in elections.

Re: Democratic Candidates

As stated earlier the tax increase will be ACCOMPANIED by savings from health plan (lol).

Sanders has always railed against unnecessary wars. Inaccurate to state he is not tatting cuts in defense spending. Only Hillary Commaneci woukd make such a stretch.
