Sahabi or companion mean what it implies. That is someone who has been in the company of the Messenger of Allah.
Quran divides the companions in categories. Just like in our lives we visit and talk to many and call them a friend. But our circle of genuine or real friends is fairly limited.
What is the idea of '3 true believers'?
