Salute to india for showing courage and exhibiting an independent foreign policy. india has been very close to US and Israel lately especially Israel. Modi just went to Israel for an official visit. India is striking some deep defense pacts with both US and israel. Israel supports India on very issue including kashmir. Modi has personal relationship with Bibi but all of this did not stop india from doing the right thing.
Now one may say that India has million of workers in the middle east and arab countries and therefore India was under pressure for financial reasons. True but to address this dilemma,hey India could have easily abstained from voting and it would have been acceptable to both israel and arabs but it stood tall and voted NO.
now these are type of actions which increase your stature globally among nations. Now everyone knows that you cannot buy India and that India will act independently. on the other hand, look at Canada. Canada always talks about moral value, lectures everyone on ethical code but when it came to action, it abstained. shame on Canada. lost its credibility forever. it is and will be a US puppy forever.
yes SID, I am aware of it. BJP leadership and its supporters were pushing indian foreign ministry and modi to vote in favor of israel and the US but in the end, India decided do what is right. I still cannot believe that India actually voted NO against US and Israel. i thought they will vote yes or simply abstain. trump and Bibi are not going to forget that easily.

India decided to go with the flow. Everyone knew US and Israel would kiss the dust over this voting. Now if India had voted for Israel it would have been isolated on this thing.

Israel is an ideological country which invests in R&D and its companies turn profits out of its ventures in medicine and weapons to name a few industries. Israeli pharma companies rank in the top 10 of the industry in US itself.
