I went on Deepak Perwani's website, and checked out his mens collection. Pretty funky stuff in the Evening Wear section, and Cheap!!!!! Anyone know where I can buy his stuff here in the USA? His website has prices, but I don't think its setup for online purchases. I am putting together a fashion show featuring Pakistani designers, and would love to have him represented. Thanks
He's expensive.
Zakhmi Umer - please refrain from arguments. This is your last warning. -PCG
PCG,
I wouldn't call him expensive. He has entire outfits for men that run around $200 (leather Jacket, Pants, and Shirt). I love his men's kurtis that are all the rage in the US these days. His are listed at $30 on the website, when inferior versions are being sold by Kenneth Cole, and Banana Republic for around $70.
I cannot comment on his prices for women's wear (Range: $200-$800 on the website), but if he is billed as Haute Couture, then we should expect to pay Haute Couture prices, though his prices are no where near those of Western Haute Couture prices which can be in the thousands of dollars.
I think designers like Deepak Perwani present a great market opportunity for fashion conscious Pakistanis in the US. His designs are amazing, and price points are much lower than what we would pay for mainstream designers.
love da pantshirt  so coool

btw aap ne mujhe pehli warning kab di thi
jo ye last hai :(
200-800 dollars or rupees? I doubt its rupees, and i would never pay that kid o money for dp, when I can get ann taylor or express or nyc outfit on sale (clearance rack :k: ) for under 50 bucks.
I personally find Deepak Perwani's women's summer/evening 2003 collection over the top and overly skanky. Absolutely nothing is left to the imagination. In addition, a lot of the designs (from the designer's website) are just regular clubbing wear ...... not very original.
IMHO, Tazeen Hassan's women's collection is a lot more practical and classier. www.tazeenhassan.com
I also like Maria B's stuff .... actually, I love her stuff. :) www.mariab.com. The clothes on the website aren't all that. However, the pics they have of Maria B.'s collection in Visage Magazine are gorgeous. :)
