That doesn’t sound too illogical. Should only take an appropriate caliper to determine the fabric you’re wearing is actually a little over a millimeter in thickness. 17 inch calves can often get mistaken as 18.5 by a measuring tape. No science.
I would however ponder about the logic that motivates a woman to wear something that she knows would make her look fat.
