Their point is to communicate with Urdu readers, not English. Its just posting/explaining U.S. policy to counter misinformation or misconceptions about where the U.S stands on certain topics.
Seriously, why would you expect the message's target demographic (individuals who come to discuss current affairs in urdu) to come to Gupshup's world affairs section (where current affairs are discussed in English).
CENTCOM's Digital Engagement Team was much more successful in its activity here on this forum. Their posts in English gained a much greater degree of engagement from the community here than the State Department effort is getting.
Tax payer money would get better value if lessons were learnt from CENTCOM's experience.
