Paracha's a low class idiot. He used to talk crap about the corporate culture, capitalism and all, and yet he married a banker, who by the way pretty much carried him financially during his 'cocaine' addiction times. He used to speak against artists endorsing sponsorships for their music without realizing there isnt much these artists make, and then started working for ADcom, an advertising company himself, after he got fired from the news! LOL He was also sidelined from his do takkey key music articles after the younger educated music critics who actually KNEW music arrived on the scene, which is why hes now writing idiotic articles on culture and politics. You can also find him praising himself these days using fake nicks on social networking sites, and editing his own wikipedia article.

You are a moderate who labels a whole publication anti Islamic for publishing a harmless piece of somebody's opinion on some commercial subject. Where has the writer written something which is against Islam. I am not defending the writer and do not subscribe to his opinion, but I am not an extremist labelling someone as anti Islam expressing his harmless opinion.

Labelling someone anti Islam is a serious business in Pakistan. pattern is all obvious, first declare someone anti Islam, then someone will declare kafir, and then the loud speaker and killer mullah mobs...

You should be ashamed of yourself for the title you have given to the thread instead of getting so angry with me if you have any shame that is...and as for your claim that nobody declared anyone a kafir go through the thread again carefully...

I am not defending the writer. He can be a wierdo, he can be an addict as Spock is claiming, he can be a mental retard...he may have an opinion which you and me can disagree, Dawn may have done a wrong thing by giving him space to express his opinion...

There are other ways of expressing your discontent with Dawn and the writer of the article...instead of labelling them anti Islam and kafirs which can take their lives in Pakistan. The writer did not throw dirt on any religious personality or did not critisize Islam in any manner so how did you come to the conclusion that the publication and the writer of the article are anti Islam... I think you are the one who should be apologising for giving such a title to your thread instead of shouting at others if you are such a decent man as you claim in your post ...

Thats it. Dawn was wrong at doing this. And this is not the first time. I don't have time now to go search all such writings.

Media business is a big responsibility. Just as you are saying that it is just an opinion and it is wrong, similarly on the flip side, by talking like this about anything Islamic, Dawn has proved itself biased and on another extreme.

Its sad that when its something against Islam, no matter how extreme, we never feel it, because we have gotten so used to it. Yet when someone calls something anti-Islam and rightly so!, people start saying that the it is an extremist stance.

Extremism is not a one sided story. It has two extremes on a line. One can be an extremist by being very anti-Islam and also an extremist by being a dogmatic mullah.

No regrets whatsoever on the title of the thread. It couldn't have been more accurate!
