Purple...(IMO)....just doesn't look all that great in bridal wear. And the brides that I have seen wear this color....I've never been too crazy about the overall look. It is otherwise my favorite color though.........just not in bridal wear.

the nice thing abt dark purple is that it shows as black in pictures and IMO that stands out quite a bit.

I however am forgetting about effect and whatnot and going for black straightoff for my bridal.

although these are dark purple i would’ve liked for them to be darker b/c like this they don’t really stand out or tend to look a bit dull in the pics…that’s what it looks like

there was another bride that had a dark purple lengha on that i loved but i can’t remember which thread it was

Why? Red is so much prettier :S Although everyone has their own opinions on this, red is a classic bridal color. Dark purple may result in the bride not standing out as much. Regardless, why not make purple a mangni, mehndi or walima dress color? Upto you though!

I think one of the reasons why dark purple brides look good is because its much easier to get the makeup right. Dark purple smokey eyes look amazing on brown-eyed desi girls!
