jealousy brings about physical harm.Cain killed his brother because of jealousy.the incident is related to black magic,someone put a spell on the Holy Prophet[pbuh] (a comb and a knotted rope i think it was) and the Prophet[pbuh] had to recite surah nas and surah falaq.i will update with link soon.

Please re-read the whole article. I have pasted below a part of it

1- When we read 15:42 and 17:65 we find God telling Satan that he does not have "sultan"on the believers. So what exactly is the meaning of the word “sultan”?

If we look up the word "sultan"in the dictionary we find that it means Power, authority … and so on.

It is rational to conclude that for the devil to be able to inflict physical harm, pain or hardship on the believers the devil must first have power over them. However, if he has no power over them (15:42, 17:65) then he cannot harm them. So what exactly is the devil able to do to the believers?

2- When we read 14:22 we see the devil saying (on Judgement day) that he had no “sultan”(authority) over the believers, then he says that the ONLY thing he did was “da’aawtakum”(inticed you) … this is the only thing that the devil is able to to do to the humans “Yuwaswis” (as in 20:120) which means to intice by whispering.

The devil has no power over the believers, he cannot force them to do anything, he can only intice and invite the human to sin.

satan says that he will mislead the humans, and Allah replies that i will put u and those that u mislead all in hell, but u will have no authority over my sincere people (the believers)…

the authority here does by no means refer to physical harm, its just about misleading, tricking in doing shirk and other sins…
