Blaming others for our problem is easy to do but realize that only we can fix it. After Americans left the Afghan fight, it was our GHQ which played favorites by first using Gulbadin Hikmetyar and when he was proven useless, we jumped to the Taliban. We made a choice to use these guys so it is our responsibility to neutralize them.
West is equally responsible for all this mess after running from war scene after 1989 leaving us alone in the battle-field without thinking that those US-nurtured jihadis would eventually challenge thier imperialism in middle east as they are doing
What stopped us from NOT using the jihadis after 1989? Since 2001, haven't the Western countries given us billions to change our mind? West is not saying that Baitullah and Fazlullah are "patriots." West is not making aman muayday after half-hearted campaigns. West is not sitting in barracks and watching the Taliban turn Green chowk into "khooni chowk"
We need to take responsibility for what we can control. Superpowers like US can play games and withdraw but developing nation like us cannot do that.
I think you , ehtesab and PCG have tried to read more into my comments or twist what I say.
The article focuses on a dancing girl and anyone who thinks these girls are dancing because they are expressing themselves or celebrating their "culture" is severely mistaken. Most of these girls are sexuall exploited first and foremost by their own brothers and fathers and ANYONE who does something good should be commended.
Your wrong - the government has ran away from swat and rule of law never existed in the first place. Things just rolled by. Rule of law is not observed by the highest person in office to the lowest person - one of the reasons why there is such a big mess.
I have not written my support for taliban anywhere or the murdering of this woman or any other because of the whatever they are doing. My comments are in response to the general dancing girl culture in Swat not alone to this particular case. I thought people would be smart enough to work that out.
^^ It's interesting you focus on the "dancing" to deflect away from the Taliban's barbarian behaviour.
The Taliban have no authority to ban anything. We have a government and rule of law. BTW, murdering someone in public is not the same as banning, in most places.
This applies to both you and PCG - dont try to put a slat on something which has clearly not been stated. Read my comments again - if either of you have trouble understanding then please consult online dictionaries and Im sure it will aid you.
Your guess is not corect. You receive a blackmark. But it is correct to stamp out sexual slavery and yes PCG i know the pimps are men - in fact they are the girls own brothers and fathers.
It is truly despicable that the militants feel they can kill anyone they want. They have a very twisted mindset which twists their view of islam further.
Force does not solve anything. These girls will just go and dance somewhere else. They are the solebread winners for the family.
Its very strange that some one can completely misinterpret what i said and add their own slant on to it, either that or they are looking for a fight.....lol....
Anyway hope I have made myself crystal clear.....
So I guess its okay when they burn down those 'theatres', 'cinemas', 'girls school/colleges', afterall what are these for when women's only place is their home and produce children.
This applies to both you and PCG - dont try to put a slat on something which has clearly not been stated. Read my comments again - if either of you have trouble understanding then please consult online dictionaries and Im sure it will aid you.
If anyone reads your post it will be considered as defending Talibans, simple, so if we "put a slat" it wouldn't be much exaggeration. We can discuss what the girls do and whether its socially/religiously acceptable or not in a separate thread but to 'condemn' such act and defend Taliban's act is considered "defending Taliban acts". I hope you understand now.
Whenever people are discussing a brutal murder and someone talks about the "nature" of the victim's "morals" it is a sign that he is more interested in blaming the victim than the murderers.
Offcourse talibans are angels,. International community, Government of pakistan, Military, Security forces, modern people of Pakistan... Women who don't wear shuttle-cock bhurkhas,... people who don't have beards.. girls who go to school... people who watch music & humans ... are should be killed & chopped their heads off.
come come. we all know this is just a reaction, and these people cannot be blamed for their actions in the slightest.
I don't like how you smile, so I'll beat you everytime you smile and say "this is just a reaction"
What logic is this?
No wonder Talibans thrive in Pakistan. We have apologists galore who can justify savagery, murder and animalistic behaviour with simple words - "reaction"
yes i agree with you jaanbaazz. the reason there is little public will to fight off this scum is that there exist apologists for them, who have the same drivel to say after every bombing, beheading and school burning: its just a reaction, and its all musharrafs fault.
accepting national failings is difficult. we like to find people to blame it on and then forget about it. sort of like its nawaz sharif and benazir's fault why we are so corrupt. they're the reason why you need to bribe people to pay your property taxes. likewise musharraf's policies and the war on terror is the reason why these people felt compelled to murder this woman and the school teacher.
this way, nothing needs to be done. we've already identified the problem havent we.
Dykhu ham ny taliban ka sath zubani hi sahih ye soch ker diya ky woh “Allah mera rab hai” keh rahy hain or baqi sab propeganda samjha ab hamari ankhain khul rahi hain ky Allah ny kion kaha hy “…Main tum per woh qaom musalat ker don ga ju tum se nahi ho ge”
i have brought no moral argument in this debate. i have not called anyone immoral. i am not judging these girls, they are no better than sex slaves. they are exploited by the very men who are supposed to look after them.
i simply dont see anything wrong it the practise being banned.....that does not mean i believe that they should be all killed off .....i have not started a blame game.....murder if much worse than dancing......i have not defended the talibans decision to kill her or other dancing girls have i?
you and ehtesab are both putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 5.
thejoke,
Whenever people are discussing a brutal murder and someone talks about the "nature" of the victim's "morals" it is a sign that he is more interested in blaming the victim than the murderers.
thejoke, you completely and deliberately missed the entire point of this discussion. This is a common tactic used by taliban supporters to shift blame, obfuscate any discussion where the holy taliban are called out for their terrorism.
You can start a thread discussing whether people should be allowed to dance or not, but this is not that thread.
Can we have a list of these mythical cyber mullahs and net jihadis?
I hope you're joking. Other then the people already mentioned on this site, there are entire sites and forums filled to the brim with cyber mullahs and net jihadis. I would post the links, but I don't want to be banned.
