While, I have never been in a wedding/mehndi function that stooped to the level of people actually offering "vails" to the girls who are dancing, I do agree that many times the whole choreographed dance routine as well as the mixed crowd can make it very embarrassing for the guests (some guests, at least). I think the efforts to make it as close to a professional routine have taken the element of spontaneity and fun and good-humored teasing of the other party, out of these functions. And is replaced by more and more vulgarity.
