Lol you guys are crazy. Parents are a blessing from Allah - some might not be the way "we" want them to be but that does not make them bad. That also does not mean that they don't love us or do not care for us. Sometimes when parents are trying to look out for us and protect us, we feel that it is bad because "we are not parents yet".....

"And your Lord has commanded that you shall not serve (any) but Him, and goodness to your parents. If either or both of them reach old age with you, say not to them (so much as) "Ugh" nor chide them, and speak to them a generous word. And make yourself submissively gentle to them with compassion, and say: O my Lord! have compassion on them, as they brought me up (when I was) little"
[Surah 17: Ayahs 23-24]

Allah is aware of our condition and aware of the fact that some parents do not care for their children the way they should (I am talking about those involved in haram stuff such as alcohol, gambling etc and in doing so ruin their children's lives also). But nevertheless, Allah revealed this ayah and this shows you the status of parents in Islam.

i love my dad… hes so much fun to shop with… i can take as long as i want n pick out what ever… he’s ready to buy it :yahoo:
but asking for money is like i asked for a house for my self. i have to hear the same lecture everytime i ask for money… abt budget and how money doesnt grow on trees. and how i need to stop “fazool harchee” :blush:

his taste in clothes is… surprising lol
i love going desi clothes shopping with him cuz he knows whats in and whats hot. and he just have the best taste in desi clothes… non-desi is anotehr story, like mom :smack:
