khawa - i love europe for that. Most of them don't have kids but when they do they got the laws right.
I am envious of my friends that live in Netherlands that the govt actually understands and emphasizes the need of daddy time with starting from a young age and paternity leaves etc.
We (Americans) say it but don't do it. I rarely see a dad go up and change baby diapers at masjids or parties. I don't even see changing table in men's rest rooms in many stores (I don't know but that's what hubby says). I even see a lack of envolvement in school and school programs. There are some but not many.
