Re: Dad doesn’t believe me?
Our house comp had pop up porn ads coming up the day after I used the computer to watch episodes of a tv show unavailable on hulu.com - i had to use some podunk website to watch it, and little did I know that would result in porn pop-ups.
Meh, I got a call about that too.
I had no clue how they ended up there, and then I figured that this is probably the best explanation. Otherwise, how do you end up getting porn on your comp if you never visited any porn site??
Wow, something similar happened with me. Only it was a bit different because someone had called a 900 number. Even though I have an older brother and guy cousins always staying at my house, my father felt the need to talk to me as well. I was like umm? lol! It was terrible.
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
so who did you call MS ;)
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
Maybe your dad went on them... And hes blaming you? ....... Who else could of done it? .......... if it wasnt you?

well once upon a time ,.. when i was young.. i called at some 900 no .. when everyone was in Pak ...
but family never asked or talked about it..
after some years when i actually know how much per minute it costs.. it give me cringes whenever i think off..
Dad went on it and he’s blaming his daughter so he doesn’t get caught? ![]()

welcome to world of cyber crimes!
computers get hacked and sometimes you cant even login to your own computer. Once I get control of the PC, I can download/uplaod whatever I want to to someone's machine..
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
LOL.
BTW Microsoft now has a great security software for free. Go to their website and download it if you need to.
never knooowwww…

you can come out of closet.. it's pretty safe world these days .. i know couple of "them"..
That's disgusting! I was only kidding around. Are you one of those people that finally came out? What was it like? Did people treat you nice?

Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
That happened to me one time .. long time ago. It was what PCG mentioned. My dad did question us, I explained him sometimes they have pop ups like that. He understood that.
Don't worry and explain this to your parents. It could be some site (not porn) that maybe your dad went to and had a virus or that kind of pop up and he didn't realize.
Okay my dad has been going through his computer which had been greatly lagging for some reason. Idk why it was doing that, it was working fast before.
my dad looked at the history and he confronted ME first because the history showed porn websites.
i swear to god, i had never went to those websites but my father thinks I did. :x he won't believe me, and he said he might want to shut off the internet from me (there is a 80 percent chance he won't) which is totally unreasonable.
i have never ever went to these websites because honestly, i have better stuff to do on the internet then this. i never went to any, nor was lured to any. and now im pissed off.
Using the Internet.....show your dad web sites containing articles about how porn pop-ups can end up in your search history even when you visit a benign website (that has nothing to do with porn). Have your dad read those article/s. That way he'll know that you're not making this up. And, you can even show him websites that teach you how to remove these pop-ups so it makes YOU look more proactive in trying to fix the problem.
If the Internet got you into trouble.....then use the Internet to help get you out of this situation. Just a thought. Hope it helps.
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
Hmm...wait a minute.
Guardianangle...you're a girl. I confirmed it from your previous threads. I kinda find it surprising that your dad wouldn't believe you about not looking at porn. I know that SOME women are into porn..........but I think the majority aren't (it's more common with guys). That said....it's strange that your dad is not convinced.
Maybe he thinks (in spite of the gender generalization) that you were "curious". And I wonder as others have....do you have any brothers...friends of brothers...male cousins...who used the computer not too long ago?
But then again...if you did have a brother (that was old enough)...wouldn't your dad interrogate him first? There's also the possibility that the "accuser" (no disrespect intended) could be guilty.....and is projecting it on you.
This all seems weird.
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
are you sure they were porn sites and your dad didn't catch you watching 90210 (or some other show) online and called that porn instead?
try to figure out which website might be giving porno ads, then show it to your dad that they come up as pop-ups. It may have also been that you accidently clicked on the ad instead of closing it, so it showed up in the history?
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
And if you find out that the websites you've been visiting don't contain porn links. Then install a video camera to catch the real perv.
if i was “you” i probably be out by now.. but oh well …
gather all your power ..and come out … :k: do open threads if you face some troubles … …
let me make it easy for you..
Don’t put yourself on a deadline for coming out.
Start with your friends before your family. Your true friends will appreciate your honesty and be touched you were willing to share.
Delivering the news through a third party is a bad idea. Your family will want to hear it directly from you and will resent finding out from someone else
Avoid coming out in an angry or defensive tone.
Give family members a chance to absorb the news before expecting the worst. If you had good relationships with your parents prior to coming out, chances are they will accept it.
Good Luck ..
Re: Dad doesn't believe me?
if i am using someone elses computer...i always delete the history, clear cache, and cookies.
btw, is there anyone else besides you who uses the same machine?
