SO this morning I stopped by at apple store around 8:30 AM. I wanted to pick an IPAD 2 (I returned my original IPAD, 2 days ago and they issued me a gift card). There were about 100 people in the line already and the first person who came in arrived at 3:40 AM. I was like .. woah .. i want one but I dont want one that bad. Anyhoo, a lady came out around 8:45 and said that they only have Verizon models. I wanted the AT&T one so I left.
I think I am going to do it online. I know that delivery is going to take about 4-5 weeks (as apple website says) but I dont need one that urgently so I can wait
Architecture and photoshop people would prefer apple as windows doesn’t have a robust package for that since there are so many manufacturers that are mated with windows. That said, you certainly can find programs for windows: Case in example is I had a TA for a cell biology lab and he needed a photoshop type program for our class as well as for his graduate program, but he didn’t go and buy photoshop but actually had a free program that worked just as fine.
PS Lets not take away the name recognition and profits that ipods and ipads have brought to apple. Certainly, macs had their own niche market but you can’t tell me that Apple was performing better than microsoft or windows mated pc manufacturers.
