Dude, no arrogance here, but other forums are just other forums. They have no layouts, no font limitations, no policies about url/images not part of signatures. They look pathetic and so hard to read cause there is no flow. Azkar put his sweat and blood to give GS the look that is pleasing and easy going on eyes. He had to set some policies and they may look ridiculous to you but because of those policies, we have what we have.

and no, 1000 limit is not ridiculous. If one is an active poster, it takes less than 40 days for someone to hit 1000 posts. In worst case, 90 days to hit 1000 mark. If someone is not even that active than what someone needs a custom avatar for? Custom titles, avatars and signatures are to proclaim your individuality. You have to be there to show it off.

Trust of admins on you is another part. One has to gain it. Server overload is another. When we migrate from one server to another (like we recently did), we have to migrate huge amount of data. We have to set some limits somewhere. Other forums do not even get that many numbers that we move to our trash folder in one month. You just cannot compare us with other forums.

I never found other forums hard to read. I always found the layout on GupShup to be plainer than usual (which I do like better, don’t take offence). And I disliked the fact that I couldn’t have an image signature when I first joined. But that’s up to you, ya admin log. And I can live with that.

Yeah.. Maybe when you are foruming for like 12 hours a day. Everybody on GupShup is not a Little Princess or Waleedbhk, we don’t no life on forums for over half our day, posting every 2 minutes or so.

I’ve been on ‘just forums’ for a few years now who have had way more members than GS but never faced any big issue when upgrading boards, and this is IPB I’m talking about.

I don’t know if you guys do it here, but every 6 months, try to delete all the accounts with like 10- posts which were obviously made to spam.
