Curves

Re: Curves

i couldn't find canada on fitpro.com either.... :/
i want to try bodypump!

Re: Curves

amani: i do 15-20 reps on arms (one set-i.e. 3 times). the same for abs. i use the machine and not the dumbells. i run 2-3 miles before doing the weights and then i stretch for five minutes.

Re: Curves

I tried looking for Canada on Fitpro but it doesnt seem to list it there. :( Howeva Mehnaz has mentioned a place in Toronto that does it. Im sure a lot of health clubs and gym must offer it cos its pretty popular. Fone around a few places. I mean most clubs in the UK offer bodypump on their studio programme as ppl want to do it. Honestly i really recommend trying it cos u will see results fast.:)

Re: Curves

It looks like ur doing quite a few reps. Just try and do it with the correct technique. R u doing them all at the same speed or do u vary it? Even when i teach bodypump, i go on and on abt technique cos it really does make the difference between getting results and just looking the same. To be honest i havnt tried the triceps machine in the gym. Most ppl tend to do cardio 1st then the weights which is what i used to do when i trained at the gym. Howeva my husband is having personal training with one of the top personal trainers in the UK who trains a lot of the celebs in london and he said that this guy is getting him to do weights 1st then the cardio-running. The inital warm up is cardio (like 5 mins on the bike and 10 mins on the stepper) but then they're going straight into weights and then doing the running after the weights. Apparently according to this bloke, its more effective. I dont actually know whether it is or not but thats what hes getting my hubs to do.

To give u an idea of the number of reps we do in one track of bodypump:

Triceps: for abt 4 and half minutes continuous we do

36 tricep extensions
18 bottom half presses with the bar
2 superslow presses
27 tricep dips at the end.

The extensions and presses are mixed up in the track so the amount ive written is altogether.

Sorry for going on and on...just trying to give u an idea of the number of reps we do to a tricep track.:)
