Regarding Quran and black magic. Allah is great and not stupid to empower some a–holes to do black magic on me. Give me any verse which says so, and i will explain it to u. I think 'Lost Soul' is in absolute denial and certainly has lived up to his nick. If he doesn't believe in BLACK MAGIC it is because 1 - no one he knows has luckily been harmed because of it and 2 - if he doesn't believe what is clearly in the Holy Qur'an and in the Haidth, then I would have to question his faith in Islam.
Don't ever challenge anyone to do black magic on you as you seriously do not know who you are talking to. One day you may come across someone who is not fearful of Allah and will actually obey your command. You will then suffer and possibly regret but that is if you understand that you are under the spell. Many people live their entire lives in misery not knowing what was wrong only to find out much later what they've been going through.
I am saying all this as I too was a skeptic until recently unfortuntely and believe me it is all over the world. It is also in the West and is not called black magic but is wrapped in other guises. Do you know that those who practised sorcery or withcraft of any kind were burned alive in the olden days in the West? Do you ever think that maybe that is why you don't come across it all the time in these LITERATE countries as you put it? Perhaps authorities in Pakistan should come down hard on magazines and newspapers and all types of Media which advertise such things for monetary gain as clearly these practices only help to ruin lives. If you want something, pray to Allah and ask HIM. He says ask me and I will listen. But sadly, I think Pakistanis have forgotten that the first being they should turn to is Allah and not evil doers.

I don't know how it works but things involved are likely to destry lives. It is real if you believe in Islam but if you don't know much about it, dont worry yourself. You are one of the lucky ones and hope you stay that way.

its the first time im writing to this site. loat soul has been my main inspiration. well u said people believe in black magic where the literacy rate is low. well sorry dude people in america practice black magic as much as people in pakistan , india etc do.go to google and type black magic, you will see manyyyyyyy american or britsh sites which promise to bring people to their lovers feet by casting spells or rather by doing black magic. people believe in black magic ev where.dont tell me you havent heard of the witches of salem.pick any american magazine from a book store turn to the last page and voilaaaa, you will indeed find people who practice black magic as a profession.

There is an explicit narration in Quran regarding two angels, Haroot and Maroot, who were sent to earth with the knowledge of black magic by Allah. This was a test for the people. People could learn from them but only with a warning that whoever does it will go to hell. I forgot which Surah and verse number was it.
The Quranic and Hadith references are too explicit to deny this.

wow! a lot of stuff that i didnt know about black magic...i heard it happenz alot in Pakistan..u even hear that the educated people are involved in it...it's lack of faith...when u don't beleive that god can help u rely on black magic and such....

All magic is Haraam, it is a major sin. This type of magic does not refer to the illusions that are shown on tv.
Surah Baqarah, Ayah 102
They followed what the Shayatin (devils) gave out (falsely of the magic) in the lifetime of Sulaiman (Solomon). Sulaiman did not disbelieve, but the Shayatin (devils) disbelieved, teaching men magic and such things that came down at Babylon to the two angels, Harut and Marut*, *but neither of these two (angels) taught anyone (such things) till they had said, "We are only for trial, so disbelieve not (by learning this magic from us)." And from these (angels) people learn that by which they cause separation between man and his wife, but they could not thus harm anyone except by Allah's Leave. And they learn that which harms them and profits them not. And indeed they knew that the buyers of it (magic) would have no share in the Hereafter. And how bad indeed was that for which they sold their ownselves, if they but knew.
Finally....got cured from effects of Black magic and things in my life have started towards betterment !
