Cricket World Cup 2003--->Pool B

Ehsan bhai,

Post a score card here, dude like you did for West Indies. :)

What a start to the cup!!!

Im also surprised how Hooper never fell to pressure after that guy let klusenar off the hook

Must have been some match … :-/

:hula: for the WI!

good game by WI.

WHAT A TREMENDOUS MATCH!!!

Congrats to Brian Lara and the boys from the Caribeanen!!!!

WHAT A MATCH. Woooooh..

That's what the world cup is made for, suprises! Anything can happen to anyone, anytime, anywhere. No one knows how to party better than the West Indians themselves. Right Gayle? ;)

And down goes my $5 too

Nice Batting From LARA

And congratess to West Indies.

Congrats to the West Indies team, esp. Lara! He’s still indeed a gem! :k:

Windians won!

I’m still in a SHOCK

I never knew West Indians can ever beat a team like South Africa. Must’ve been a very interesting game to watch. :\

Dont worry there are many more shocks to come…

Well played Windies… !!!
Great game…What a great start to worldcup…

And Pedro Collins…Watch the ropes man…u almost screwed

Wohoo West Indies win :hula: . They started of a bit bad until Lara came in. During the last few minutes of the match we were like ok thats it SA is gone win…but then West Indies came back in again knocking them out…it was an exciting match at the end:k:

Lately Klusener has been "worked" out by teams. He does not like slow bowlers and that's why Hooper carried on with his slow bowlers till near the end. Good captaincy. I'm also sure South Africa's "lost son" Vasbert Drakes had a big role to play - remember how he insisted that Hooper put a catcher exactly where Klusener was caught out! Vasbert has been playing the last 6 seasons in South Africa and know the wickets and players extremely well. There was even some talk at a point of him maybe playing for South Africa - our loss.

WELCOME BACK LANCE KLUSENER :)

Great start to the World Cup....

Seems like Lara has decided to reclaim his throne.

What a CRACKER of a match!. Well done Windies. They seemed more hungrier for a win and got it. Great start and a warning for all the so called favorites. Watch Out! All test playing nations have an equal chance this time around. It's the most OPEn world cup that comes to mind.

a great display of cricket, an awesome game to watch :k: welcome World Cup '03!!

Collins was about to receive spanking of his lifetime when Drakes saved him :hehe:

Excellent performance, unable to express in words.

First game and first upset!

:bhangra: Congratulations to the Windies :bhangra:

They sure be partying at the moment. I was favoring the Windies since the beginning and even was praying for their victory before the start of the last over. Surely, the worldcup started with the biggest upset and Im sure the SAfricans wont’ easily forget this defeat. Hope the Windies will continue their work in the upcoming matches.

Oh by the way, Umpire Venkat screwed up yet one more time. The ball was about 6 inches from Wavell Hinds bat on the leg side. It should have been called wide. But, Umpire Venkat gave Hinds OUT !!!.

WoW . The cup started with a bang. This certainly was an up set . SA should still make it to the super six stage as they have an easier poll. But I think WI has proved that they certainly are a team to look out for. With players like Lara in the team they can go long way in the cup.

Venkat is the uggliest, craziest SOB in the panel right now. Hope he make some big blunders and they sack him.

What a great game, one of the best in a long long time, my Man of the Match is Lance Klusener, we all know Lara was great but Lance Klusener played the kind of innings all great batsmans dream about.
What a victory!

I was behind Windies the whole game, both sides batted beatifully and both came back from early losses.

I think windies have the ability to win all their matches if they play like today.

I can not wait for tommorrow's match between New Zeland and Sri Lanka.
