Cricket World Cup 2003---> Pool A

India 255/7 after 50 overs.

A reasonable total which they should be able to defend.

Overall disappointing, as the latter batsmen squandered the base which Sachin, Shewag and Mongia had laid down.

well, a tricky total.....zimbabwe playing at home can get it. if they don't lose too many wickets in the first 15 overs, they have a chance. wicket looked good.

England 272 all out after 50 overs against Namibia.

Ehsan bhai, apni country ko support nahee kar rahe?? j/k

I was watching the India-Zimbabwe match, 100% behind Zimbabwe, but I felt Zimbabwe could have gotten 'em by 200, so these 50 odd runs could have been prevented, as the Indian team is weak and equal to them. Tendulkar's dismissal was fun to watch... The so called best batsman of the world had no idea what happened to him, and how his defences got busted... He stood there as if nothing happened, LOL

Finally India posted above 250 in a oneday international
nice performance by tendulkar and Sehwag, lets see what Zim come up with..

Zimbabwe 26/2 after 10 overs. India has got to make inroads with their opening bowlers as they have gone into the match with only 4 bowlers.

Namibia, surprisingly making a fight of it.

** 120/2 in 26 overs....
Burger nt out 77, Kuleder 19 not out.
**

Poms are rettled out there :D

I would still back England to win it, but what an upset that will be.!!!! If only. :)

meanwhile India are cruising to a win - Zim are 124/7 of 34 overs

wow that burger fellow is quite good
it's the same fellow who topscored against paki? or is it his brother?

this top-scorer was a leg-spinner with shane warne type action

Burger is gone. Now is the time for England to put the new batsman under presuure by taking a more attacking field.

**Namibia 171 for 3
102 from 82 balls needed
What an upset in prospect
:yummy: **

actaully that will just open up our pool more... England will probably also lose to Australia and hopefuly we will beat them too so they will be out. India will beat Zim... Seems like Pak, India & Australia will go through to Super 6.

Can we trade-in JB Burger for Shahid AFridi against England this Saturday? :D

** Zimbabwe 172 all out. India win by 83 runs. Congrats to India and well played. **

Nam 199/7 forget it

Congratulations to Indian Team. Great bowling by Srinath, Dada and Harbhajan. Great batting by Tendulkar as usual.

My man of the match is Dada.

India were 141 / 1 at the end of 27th over.
Tendulkar got out in the 28th over.
The rest of Indian batting line-up added only 114 in the remaining 22 overs.

Conclusion: Get Tendulkar out and have a great chance of winning against India. Indian batting is way too dependent on Sachin.

England win by 53 runs.

Well played Namibia.

Very Well played Namibia and Thank you for reducing the victory margin to only one plus point. JB Burger played well.

England is done with the easy schedule. Now, the real test begins. They will be playing Pak, India and Australia. If I was an Indian fan (which I am not), I would be routing for Pakistan to beat England. In that case, all India has to do is beat England and be in the Super Six stage.
