Re: Cremation...

^^^ you cant have both............ which is it to be?

Re: Cremation...

If running out of land becomes a problem ... you they can always just turn the desrt into a burial ground. Pack them in reaal tight.

Re: Cremation...

they say after 100 years that land is re-used anyway.

Re: Cremation...

mad scientist, good idea.... bury in the desert

id also plant a tree on top..... dont wanna waste those nutrients..and eventually we can can have a whole forest of trees to be made into toilet paper.

what do those recycled paper paper packs have on the
oh yes

Made from renewable wood sources.

Re: Cremation...

who cares about the bugs underground? once we're dead, it's not like we stay in our bodies.

Re: Cremation...

I sincerely hope for your sake, what you say is true!

Re: Cremation...

All the advocates of cremation, should seriously look into the Parsi method of burial...feeding the dead to the vultures......

Re: Cremation...

Unfortunately for the Parsi's in India, the vulture population is has decreased.... this is because they also eat little finch type birds which are a eat the seeds that the farmers sow.... who in turn feed the little birds toxins to kill them, the vultures eat these birds and then die themsemselves.

Doesnt bode well for the dead body on top of the pillar.

However the parsi's are looking at ways to overcome this problem.

Re: Cremation...

Yes, that is the case, they are thinking about introducing Tazy Devils in the hills of Mumbai to overcome the dwindling vulture populacion in/around Mumbai....

Re: Cremation...

Che,
there are other options if you like

you can become a testcrash dummy

or you can have your body frozen in liquid nitrogen, when it is frozen solid it can be smashed into smithereens, frozen again

and then used as plant fertiliser.

we are extremely lucky in this day and age to have more choices than our ancestors, Dont'ya think;)

Re: Cremation...

So far i read they say cremation is the best way to dispose human body. Ofcourse it doesnt consume land and is not that expensive. In usa it is becomming very popular. they burn ya and then make a faux coral reef out of them.
Back in the days when when burial and cremation were "invented" the population was far less and both were feasible. now imagine how much land will it consume to bury all the humans or how much wood it would consume to cremate. If we bury then in next 100 years there will be no land left for living and if we cremate then all the woods will be gone.

I support the idea to use human body to use as a resource in a respected way. I mean cremate using electric furnace and use the ashes.
