I know I was so wrong there but I know about the alternate energy stuff, everyone knows that electric cars will take over, homes are being legislated for being highly energy efficient and Lockheed Martin is very close to developing a fusion reactor that may power a city from the back of a truck.

I think oil is going up to 60 to 70 in a short order. The demand in USA isn’t projected to grow as everything is getting more efficient. IEA predicts bulk of increase in demand will come from India and China. It will be decades till oil becomes obsolete and hence Saudis are pushing to diversify. Short answer no don’t sell, I am not selling mine. With DT the banks might be a good option also.

It was -14C today and compared to -37 with windchill felt like a spring day,I went out in a T-shirt.

We had first official snow on Sunday. But when slept overnight it rained and woke up with everything washed out. Its time. Cant avoid winter anymore

We also had a snow fall on Sunday, which went into Monday. 
I got my winter tires on and cleared out the garage so both cars can be parked inside.

Great post re oil.
What is DT? With interest rates rising, the spread between what banks charge as interest and what they pay depositors is increasing. That increases their earning.
Bank stocks have moved quite a bit over last 6 months. That woukd have been a good time to buy.

Sorry DT is Donald Trump. He is vowing to reduce regulation so banks are able to lend more with the same amount of deposits. That actually is a republican policy and even if Donald is impeached that policy will remain. I think bank stocks have room to run as they were discounted for possible loss in energy sector
but with oil rising that might prevent impending insolvencies.

This thing is not letting up

Haha…too funny, the guys have baby shovels. It is supposed to go to 1C tomorrow so from -40C to plus 1 is like a 40 degree swing in a day.

+Crazy weather, slippery conditions causing all sorts of accidents, We have tons of food so I am not going anywhere+. Shoveled the snow so I should be good to relax. I do like the white Christmas.

I have not seen crazier weather, I sent my boy off to Kelowna it is supposed to be warm there and they had -40 with WC, he had left his warmest coats here. Weare going to get -40C here again. They got snow in Vancouver
and in Florida.

Lately, temperatures reversed and we got up to plus 8, my boy was commenting that in a matter of a couple of weeks we have seen from -40 to plus 8. That is a variation of about 50C in two weeks. We have such little snow that they might cancel the X-country ski camp for my boy. They are hoping for snow this weekend or the treacherous freezing rain.

Kid were supposed to go for a cross country ski camp and we are praying for snow as of now there isn’t enough to ski on. When we went for Kayaking trip in fall it snowed on us like crazy and middle of winter there is no snow smh

There was a nor-easter yesterday to today. Luckily no snow. but 3" rain in less than 24 hrs with winds gusting 66 mph. Thankfully electricity remained intact which was my biggest worry.
