I dont know JL. Some of our imams are so jahil that this is the only way of getting their attention. If I read it right in this thread, she is going from Masjid to Masjid, raising this issue in this manner. She is obviously using this method as she is making vidoes and posting on youtube to create bigger awareness. Talking to imam privately is not going to serve that purpose.

True, but it should be tried. I’ve seen major time management issues with imams who have improved over the years after people have asked them privately. Having said that, breaking a bad habit is different than making someone talk about the real issues. Well, you would think they know what is happening around the world and in Muslim communities but some really display their ineptness out in open. Like when there is eid, they discuss the usual topics around that eid, when there is some earthquake, they don’t forget to talk about it and ask for donations so when there is an attack on muslim land, why not discuss that or break the khutba down in two parts. You don’t (shouldn’t) need a rebellious girl to make you aware of that though… I guess **future **imams take note.
