^clayy!! thats calcium deficiency!!!! my little cousin had that!! ewwwww...the doctors ran some some tests...and turned out...he needed calcium...!! poor thing.
One day we were all having dinner, turned around and saw my 2.5 yo cousin licking the fire place. We asked him what he was doing. He said "licking." His father (who is a doctor) was not concerned at all and continued with his meal. He explained the deficiency.
Still weird.
I loved his nonchalant reply, "licking."

yeah...my mom had cravings for ice for years...after the pregnancies even......she changed her doctors....and it was by chance......the first thing he asked her was..'maam are you anemic?" lol....and she was...indeed...no cravings since she her blood count became normal!! :)

this was in pakistan..back in the eighties.....she had a female doctor for the first 3 months or so...if i remember correctly....then later changed her physician...thankfully he was very knowledgeable...
