Pakistani Dragon, each worship has some meaning in Hindusim, in your view it is just animals but the meaning behind them is Monkey is Hanuman and it reflects Strength, Courage and Power God, when ever you feel scared, people recite Hanuman Chalisa ( 40 sentences of Hanuman ) to get some courage Nobody worship Tiger in Hinduism it is Narasimha means it is Half Man and Half Tiger, the story behind this there was a Rakseh (devil) name Hiranyakashyap from whose rule people are suffered and they pray to lord Vishnu for Help Hiranyakashyap has Boon of no animal or god or human can kill him, nether he can be killed on day or night nor inside house or outside house... e.t.c then Lord Vishnu took incarnation of Narsimha who is half animal and half Human and he killed him so people worship Lord Vishnu incarnation of Narasimha as per snakes. as main occupation of most of the indians is Agriculture and snakes play a important role snakes eat rats and other things which harm crops and help the farmers in protecting the crops, and where as snakes can create harm to farmers too, they pray to snakes to protect the crops and protect them as you know Monkeys, Tigers, Snakes can not be worshipped live they prepare idols and worship them :) where as cow you can worship live so there are no idols for cows :) :D
:) cool you know that much,but some correction is need,dude.
first, we DONT make idols of animals to worship them. they are vechicles of other gods and goddesses.
like you will find a statue of a bull in every Siva temple,an idol of Durga on a lion/tiger etc etc because they are their vahans.
we dont make idols of monkeys and worship them,Hanuman is more of a half monkey half human demigod. but not any monkey,plz !!!
the tiger part is correct.
and yes,there is a Nag/snake god,that is worshipped in South India,and a Snake goddess worshiped in east India. i dont know much of the Snake god part,but the goddess is not a "cult" goddess having a reallly huge follower.
but we DONT worship idols of snakes.
and no, we dont worship cows, we just mean them as a sacred gentle animal. yeah,some do offer fruits,garlands blah blah,but nothing serious.
