I agree Australia were still very much favourites in 2007. have revised my earlier post.

No team was clear favourite in 1999 although SA were slightly better than both Australia and Pakistan

I think over all Pakistan team was the most balanced team in 1999 WC. It was probably our best team ever.

Saffies were good too but they relied in Klusener a bit too much. Australia proved to be a tournament team starting from that tournament.
