Something Pakistan sorely lacks and it works to the advantage of the current tinpot dictators that run Pakistan today.
Educate yourselves and your children first and everything else will fall into place...

I am not sure what is meant by the term 'Super Power'..., if that means to become an imperialistic power like America , USSR , Britain or Nazi-Germany bullying the world , tormenting injustice on the rest of the world irrespective of whether it is possible or not I would not want pakistan to become a 'Super Power'... what I would instead want is the creation of society with exemplary Social/Economical/ Political justice..., where people set the highest example of character..., where people have hope..., a model that people from different societies want to adopt.., a beacon of light that re-instates trust in humanity amongst all its observers...

Pakistan can improve if it accepts all the ethnic groups living in this country and allow them the freedom of there existence and equal rights, that's for what this country is created actually, i.e. to protect the rights of a minority, at that time.

Pakistan might not be a super power per say but Pakistan have achieved more in 68+ years of its existence than most of Muslim countries. All we need is patriotic government that looks after the interest of Pakistan and its people and not beg the US/west.

with all the bad things going around in pak from the govt to the talibans, it wud be more likely that its gonna be a failed state. being a muslim, i pray it does not ... aameen

There is no reason it could not become a a super power. Pakistan & India started from the same point, but have developed pretty differently and have a very different status in the world community.
Time for some introspection on what went wrong, and how that can be fixed moving forward.

After constant 60 years struggle of Islamic revolution Pakistan can become a super power. But only then, if we start from today. By eliminating the corrupt beauraucracy, hypocritic politicians, Mullahs, corrupt judiciary, in competent teachers, . By introducing a new democratic Islamic system of government. By spending 80% of our budget on economic and educational development. By diminishing our social and regional differences. By working 14 hours a day on average per person. By devoting our lives for the cause of strengthening our country, culture and religion.

Pakistan can definitely become a superpower if we direct our energies towards education, health care and increased productivity.
We have a diverse nation from mountains of Karakorum to the Deserts of Baluchistan. Rich in natural resources from (allegedly the largest) copper mines and oil reserves in Baluchistan, to the agricultural fields of Punjab, to the financial/manufacturing hub of Karachi/Sindh, to the hydropower of Pakhtunkhwa. Our people are talented and industrious from the illiterate gun makers of FATA to the PhDs in Karachi. We have the legacy of English that can allow us to catapult into the globalized economy. Our location is at the crossroads of South Asia, Middle East and Central Asia. Last but not least, our faith is firmly rooted in private enterprise and isteqlal (justice).
Its surprising that we’re not a superpower already.
