Her mausoleum looks like a sufi shrine at best and poor man's Taj Mahal at worst. Her anniversary is becoming some sort if annual ur or whatever . I reckon in 20-30 years time, she would turn into a local saint. People will visit her *mazaar *to find cure for schizophrenia to fertility issues.

Anyway. Any highlight of her 'great' work and achievements to justify the 'great leader' tag?

I heard Zardari made a speech from a fish tank. The bravest of Brave - Billy the Brave - couldn't attend because of security reasons. Awww. Bless.

From the outside the impression I had developed by following events of Pakistan was that BB was the one with the charisma and popular following; I recall even reading about Musharraf's initial refusal to let her back into the country was because he was worried about losing control due to her popularity.

whether such popularity was inherited, earned or warranted is unfortunately immaterial in the Indian sub continent! There were comparisons of BB to Indira Gandhi - if there was any basis for that, sure she would have been an iron lady in Pakistan.

I did hear and read her speak out quite boldly against Musharraf when he was in power and she did force her way back into Pakistan - that was gutsy.

She was well educated and I think wanted to establish total civilian control that Pakistan had been and is still lacking, of the government.

I don't know one way or other about her corruption - just not informed on that topic

Once Indira Gandhi was also labelled as corrupt and lost elections. Next government could not complete its tenure and Indira was elected with heavy mandate. She was iron lady of India, there is not doubt about it. When mardood general harassed and arrested Benazir and her mother Nusrat Bhutto, Indira Gandhi was the first lady to ask the mardood general to act like a man not like hijrha and release these women who were detained without any charge.

Indira Gandhi who defeated Pakistan in 1971, was again the first lady who condemned and mourned the murder of ZAB by mardood general and her words were "yeh tum logon ne kya kia" She was right about ZAB. After his death Pakistan went downward spiral even till today.

Also remember ZAB was the person who negotiated Indira Gandhi after 1971 war and got released 95000 pows. Indira Gandhi was very much impressed of his brilliant negotiating power and dynamic personality.

Gen.Babar and BB with the Army, and Saudi funding helped create a Taliban group in Afghanistan. They fought for Pakistan interests and were/are considered a great asset for Pakistan.

This group is totally different to the TTP - so stop twisiting and telling lies.

Zaradri was sidelined - not even in Pakistan.
