Nawaz Sharif and Gen Zia’s murder
Just had a wild thought. Mian saab was Gen Zia’s pet and Governor Punjab in 1988. He must have had some ambitions even back then to make it big some day.
With the way Mian saab chose to ‘fire’ Gen Musharraf as COAS on 12 Oct 1999 aboard a plane, could it hint that he may have actually be trying to get rid of Pakistan’s 2nd COAS in a tried and tested way? That is to say whoever the real party to Zia’s murder may have been, he may have been an accomplice on ground aware of the plan and perhaps also a part of it and even a signatory to some ‘power sharing deal’ in the next few yrs. This hint could be gathered from the CoD he proposed and signed with BB mentioning a deal on a 5 yr and 5 yr power sharing turns.
Seems he’s not to unfamiliar with COASs going out through planes in the air and also patience for waiting his turn in power sharing deals…
