Well I did eat it with chamach as well and I always do 
This is the way I eat it.
Take haleem, mix some lemon juice in it, then spread very little oil (not a layer but just a little), then dhaniya, adrak, and fried onions. Then I take just one naan/roti and eat a little haleem with it. Then I dig in it with a chamach until I am full

I gotta try that next time. We bought shaan’s chat masala today when we went for grocery shopping today 
tou khana khaa lein, it’s only 9:12 p.m. here in the US (in my part)
