As Muzna already pointed out, you simply cannot generalize. There’s a few bad apples in every organisation. Painting the entire US millitary with the same brush, based on the acts of a few retarded soldiers, is just like labelling Pakistan a barbaric nation based on the crimes committed by extremists. Just like every sane Pakistani condemns such barbaric acts, the US army too does not support this “collection of trophies” and this is exactly why the soldiers are being prosecuted.
Secondly, this is not the first time that something like this has come forward. Soldiers collected body parts as war trophies back in WW2 and also in the Vietnam war. I remember seeing a picture of a soldier who was proudly wearing a “fingers necklace” and so this phenomenon of “trophy-taking” is widespread in every army, not just the US millitary, and I’m sure you know this CP.
