I agree, some posts go unanswered.
The reason behind this forum not attracting a lot of specialists and other regular visitors are a few:
First, this is a desi community so a I dont see a non-desi becoming a frequent visitor of this forum, we only have a few here in who only post in General and World Affairs forums.
Secondly, There are not too many Pakistani/Asian IT professionals (specialised in any given filed of IT) who would like to spend their time posting in a forum just to help other people who need a little help. And the one’s who do, like Umar, yourself, 5-watery :-D, nos, Najim and a few more.
Thirdly, Splitting this forum. This is an issue which can not be predicted before it has taken place. But I have my doubts about it. I think at this stage splitting the Comp forum is not needed.
I have seen this happening at GS before (the Image Gallery was split) I must say it has not helped in attracting more visitors to those forums. It was a very frequently visited forum before it was split. So has it lost its charm after it got split?
Last but not least. I think we should make the best of what we already have here 
As it has come a long way to become what it is now. And we have here a dedicated and loyal team of posters like nos already mentioned
