Maybe both are correct different songs?
Bohat Yaad Aayengay Yeh din, Mujhe TaRpaayengay Yeh din Sanam
Ye mausam ye, mast nazaaray, pyaar karo to inn say karo ...

joh khizaan mein kho chukee hai woh bahar dhoodta hai - Waheed murad, shamim ara sung by Bashir Ahmed, singer from East Paksitan
Hum chalay choR kar tairi mehfil sanam ..
dil kahin na kahin toh behl jaye ga - Rehman and Shabnam Bashir Ahmed again film form East Pakistan.
Please tell us who the singer is.
I always thought the first was Rushdie and the second was Mujeeb Alam, but I was wrong.
And I was shocked that I didn't know who the real singer was until I discovered last weekend.
Also, I had never heard the third song until last weekend.
So how come I have never heard the 3rd song before ?
Ehsan bhai, how did you know this song ?
Was it played often in the old days ?
Apparently, Bashir Ahmad was known as the Ahmad Rushdie of East Pakistan.
He was an Urdu speaking from Delhi (?) who migrated to E. Pak in 60s (?) and sang many popular songs.
Came to Pakistan after 71 but was overshadowed by Rushdie and returned to BD in 1975.
The song is from the movie Darshan 1967.
Hum chalay choR kar, tairi mehfil sanam ..
Dil kahin na kahin toh, behel jaye ga
Jab mairay dil main hai, pyaar ki aarzoo
Mujh ko koi na koi to, apnaayay ga
Here is the song form the movie.
Beautiful historic live performance from PTV:
I found out that there is a treasure trove of about 50+ Urdu films that were produced in East Pakistan.
Only a handful are known to people these days like Darshan, Chakori, Chanda etc.
Also there were about at least 120 Bengali movies made in East Pakistan and Shabnum was doing a lot of them before sihfting to Lahore.
I think Pakistanis should make themselves aware of their beautiful hidden heritage from East Pakistan.
These were high quality and very musical productions.
Yes the song “hum chaley chor ker teri mehfil sanam” was quite popular in those days.
Chakori has got to be the biggest hit for a urdu film from East Pakistan. The film was released in Karachi first and after a few weeks it began to take rush like crazy, hit golden jubilee and was than released all over Pakistan. Rest is history. One of the biggest hits ever. Nadeem’s first movie and he became an instant hit after that movie.
What was till than the domain of two superstars Waheed Murad and Mohammed Ali than became three with Nadeem there. There were other heroes as well but these three were the leading lights and gave some big hits. The clash of Mohammed Ali and Nadeem in Baazi was the highlight and filmgoers rushed to see the picture to see who dominated who. Both did very well but the overall conclusion was that Mohammed Ali edged Nadeem in that clash.
