Re: Compared to Afghan girls, Pakistani girls have it easy
You can pretend all you want, but there ain't no running away from the fact that in Pakistan, women are treated like s**t.
But let's pretend they aren't. Injustice?!! What? Were? I don't see it!!!
Really, You need to get your story straight and CM as well, crap, I don't understand where do you guys live... & why do you come up with this nonsense....maybe just to vent..........

What? Women aren't treated like s**t in Pakistan? Where do *you *live brother?
Re: Compared to Afghan girls, Pakistani girls have it easy
This is ridiculous. Regardless of which country treats females worse, it is still a fundamental human right to be treated with respect and dignity no matter where in the world your feet stand upon. It is stupidity to argue that we should live with less than our human rights just because women in other countries are treated even worse.
Pakistani women will continue "whining" and being "ungrateful" until men treat them how they damn well deserve to be!
Re: Compared to Afghan girls, Pakistani girls have it easy
Every 9 seconds a woman is abused in the US (FBI statistics), that's a lot better than Pakistan, isn't it? must not roll eyes
I am in agreement with CM and Jaanwar.
U living in a cave lady? The only reason Pakistan's abuse rate isn't way higher than EU/US is because 99% of the abuse cases here aren't reported, in the name of honor or the twisted Hadood laws and all that.

I live in Afghanistan. Have been doing so for the past year. How is the good ol' US of A treating ya?

Did you see me refuting the fact that domestic abuse is high in Pakistan? The point CM is trying to make is quite clear - that this goes on everywhere (which was what my post was about) and not just Pakistan like some posters were making it sound like in the other thread.
Re: Compared to Afghan girls, Pakistani girls have it easy
IceSoul, you are such a puritan perfectionist knight in a shining armour! You are the type who would constantly ***** about Pakistan and Pakistanis without acknowledging the fact that the same sh!t happens everywhere you go. Alright yeah you can’t compare Pakistan with Switzerland or Denmark, or such developed nations. Yeah we are not perfect, but still our morals are far better than many other people and many other nations. I agree with you that there are quite many things that are majorly mucked up, but that is pretty much the case in this whole region, all developing nations, and in many of the developed countries. To criticise Pakistanis is your right as a Pakistani, but don’t make it sound like it is the worst nation on the face of the earth. All sorts of sh!t happens in all places, and unless you live in a closed clam you should know that all kinds of atrocities against women happen around the world. Like I said earlier, forced marriages, rape, treating them like slaves, physical and mental abuse, it all happens in the US, in the UK, in Africa, in the Middle East, it happens everywhere mate. I also agree with you that we need to sort ourselves out as a nation, but at least acknowledge that we are not the only ones with such problems.
And before you unleash your virtuous fury on rural Pakistan, I come from a pind myself, and have travelled pretty much through the entire depths of rural Pakistan, to places you wouldn’t imagine paying a visit to, and while abuse does happen in several places, women are given a lot of respect for the most part. And on a lighter note, they remain the champions of family politics pretty much everywhere you go in Pakistan. Don’t base your ideas on Fox News and Catholic Relief reports, listen to first hand accounts with an open mind before you jump to such conclusions and issue such sweeping statements. Jeez.

And I was merely refuting your argument that there is more abuse in the US than in Pakistan.
Re: Compared to Afghan girls, Pakistani girls have it easy
If you actually **READ **my posts again, you will come to know that I called Pakistan “one of the worst” of the bigger nations. I repeat, countries like Zimbabwe, Somalia etc don’t count. They are neither major economic/military powers, nor do they have 190 million populations.
Pakistan is one of the most populous nations in the world (in top 10 at least). Women are probably treated worse in India, but as far as women rights are concerned, Pakistan is one of the worst among the bigger nations. Do you agree or don’t you? If not, please present your arguments without resorting to senseless rhetoric
And about your last point, I spent half my life in Quetta mate. I’ve actually seen 14 year old girls get married as opposed to hearing about it from the neighborhood gossip-machine. I’ve been to place in Balochistan where **you **would never go and I’ve seen how they treat people there.
Re: Compared to Afghan girls, Pakistani girls have it easy
^ why you pointing out zimbabve or somalia when pakistani girls are the issue?? i am sick of this mentality of pakistani people trying fool themselves into thinking that if others are doin it its ok for them to do this too.....
