I think since the kaam is so light you should opt for brighter colours to make it more formal, however if you do want to go for pastel colours I’d suggest pink and gray, pink and maroon or peach and mint green. I think if yu kept the borders the way they are and added some light kaam to the printed motifs at the bottom of the dress it would look just right for a wedding.
