anyone watch the last two episodes aired on ARY? these guys are doing the best comedy out of Pakistan after some time.
Last week’s episode: Faisal’s dad calls him and tells him that his Khala will be visiting him and he has to show her around Karachi. he’s not thrilled by this and tries to coax his roommates into showing her the city and they do little else but laugh at the guy. eventually the khala shows up and it turns out that she’s the young and quite attractive Sonia Khan instead of the burrhia he was expecting. Faisal all of a sudden remembers that she’s his rishatay (duur kee) kee khala and makes it a point to emphasize the duur kaa rishta part at every opportunity. the other two also change their mind and also want to play the good host now that the guest is closer to 25 than 65. long story short, Faisal makes elaborate arrangements and is all set to play the tourist guide but is duped by the other two into going to a fake drama shooting…
the story might not sound funny and on top of that I’ve prolly killed any humour that was in it anyway. But Faisal Qureshi did some wicked comedy here. :k:
this week’s episode:
Faisal’s going out with some girl. before he and the girl can leave for the Quran lessons they were going to, the girl’s DSP dad (sth Khan, from the 50 50 team) and mother (Zeba Shehnaz) show up and Faisal is forced to play the servant to avoid jail time. the mother makes him clean the house, cook food etc as a trial run before full-time employment. the dad also has his way with Faisal, makes him massage his feet, his bare back etc etc. these two did amazing physical comedy. eventually the other two show up by some twist of fate and torture Faisal some more before…
good thing about this series is that the team realizes that Faisal Qureshi is the one keeping the show going and they don’t shy away from that. instead they give him a lot of camera time and he does not disappoint at all.
