Quick question: Do the beads on the dupatta border like these go well for a classic look?
I mean they’re so in nowadays and look so cute but once they’re out of fashion and after some ten or so years would they give an awkward/funny look? Should I go for them or skip them?
Also, would they look good with a mathapatti or it would get over-crowded?
Wow! Very pretty I remember seeing your barat pictures on fb, your photographer wrote that you both met on the barat the first time (or something like that?) :s lol, but you’re sitting together on the mehndi here..

gorgeous nonetheless
thanks :)
oh that .. was first look (on baraat day) picture....
This has got to be my favorite thread of all time. I gotta add my parent's wedding pictures too although they got married in 1990. My mom looked so gorgeous! I'm dying to wear her jewellery on my baraat. I plan on starting an heirloom tradition. Somebody has to start them.
That sounds like a great idea! I would do that too, but apparently in my family, the tradition in my mom's time was to make the bride wear every piece of jewellery she owns (or close to it). Don't really want that...there was a lot of gold and my outfit is nowhere near as heavy as hers was.
This bride wore her phupho’s vintage lehngha and had the dupatta and sharara reworked, and had the shirt designed by Deena Rahman. Love the makeup from Mariam Khawaja.
