I dont know the girl personally, i saw her pics on a blog somewhere. I didnt get the hyderabadi vibe from her get-up. Are you sure this is pakka hyderabadi? Don't they normally wear the khada dupatta? She looks more northern indian muslim descent.
She’s wearing a farshi pajama, which was traditional in North India…based on the way it’s cut, I would guess her family is originally from Rampur. Her jewelry also looks Rampuri rather than Hyderabadi. I suspect the bride is some relative of the nawab’s family.
Ok…just saw the other pictures. The bride is definitely from the Nawab of Rampur’s family…the man on the far right in the rust colored shervani is the current titular Nawab.
Thank you Janab-e-ali, that is exactly what i was thinking..they style of the wedding didnt look hyderabadi at all. In fact, the bride is a replica of Princess Mehrunissa that is pictured earlier on this thread.
Can I just say that I absolutely LOVE love love this thread??? Awesome idea Sara
Janab -e-ali - your post is right on about the “mughal” look. I have been doing a lot of reading about that time era and you describe their style of dress the same as my book. Tight and short cholis that stop at under the bosom… paired with a flowy ghaghara was the choice of dress.
Here is a picture of a bride that really did use the Mughal time period completely for her inspiration for her Mehndi look.
You can see that the photographer drew inspiration from that time era as well to re-create this complete image of the bride groom and the bridal party. It’s truly stunning.
if you click on the ? box you should be able to see it.... i dont know why any of my pics do not upload properly anymore :(
Where did you find these? They are my neighbors....family is from Delhi
Are you referring to my pic? I honestly do not remember exactly which site I found it on but I was doing research on "Mughal style" wedding wear and came upon this picture that someone had on their site as an example. I saved it for the same reason.
It is unfortunate that pics are leaked all over the internet. I think a lot has to do with the fact that photographers post pictures of their work as a form of advertisement. Facebook does not help either ofcourse. But people are aware that photographers usually keep the right to use the pictures they take. I just signed a contract with my photographer and that was a clause. So sadly I will not be surprised if in less than a year I see my picture being posted on here. Sucks but what can you do?
do u have more pics of this bride since shes your neighbor? i wanna see her matha pati. also whats her story? shes so pretty n not to offend anyone but he looks old n not very attractive.
