Going to Pindi in Late July through August. What has the best traditional food and best steak similar to that in the west? I tried Texas and wasn’t very fond of it. Also some advice needed on travelling/shopping alone.
Is it safe to go shopping along in Saddar. I am told it is safe in Centauraus or Safa Gold Mall…what are your thoughts. I will be alone or with my kids. I have in laws I can go with with but don’t want to always depend on someone to take me shopping. Also sometimes I would want my space/privacy just to go out alone and relax.
Another question, is it typically safe for a female (with kids) to take the new transportation option of Careem and Uber in Pindi/Islamabad? Basically there is a lot to do and see and I don’t want to depend on my sister in law for everything, and realistically it isnt possible for them to take me everywhere. Thanks
I personally like Olive Garden in F 7 for steaks. Second choice would be papasallis in Jinnah Super as well. Haven’t tried steak in any other papasallis so wouldn’t know. Not sure if they are similar to the west though as I don’t have that comparison. Don’t like Texas steakhouse much.
Shopping alone is perfectly fine. Areas to avoid would be I-8- I-9 and I-10 during evenings based on my personal experiences (I am mostly alone shopping or going about thing in general). There isn’t any major safety issue within the twin cities.
I have been using Careem for a few months now and find it a real convenience as opposed to hiring a cab. Don’t have any experience with uber.
