Pakistani people know he is the greatest leader they have had since Quaid-e-Azam. No wonder people are not coming to the streets to oust him.
With political parties falling apart, and vying for deals with the Great President Musharaf, Pakistani politics has never been more interesting. God Bless President Musharaf. :D

Remember all the grand predictions of 2007 - one after the other, that Musharraf woudl fall from power. The great man has survived despite all the curses of his opponents.
Re: 'Citizen' Musharraf still holding the cards in Pakistan.
^ the 'great' mans time is coming, where will you guys hide when the great man is offered a full time chitrool?
He cant carry on with such low approval ratings, the time is coming my friend...

That's right. They continue with their ill fated predictions. :)

Well one of the predictions was that Musharraf as merely "Citizen President" only i.e. without uniform would not survive. Well he has done that, as the article you posted highlights quite clearly.
Re: 'Citizen' Musharraf still holding the cards in Pakistan.
Rationally....i think the solution will be that of a mutual agreement to some point, but if opposition can pull together enough votes to form majority, they will either give Musharraf a very hard time or might even reverse some of his amendments and impeach him....
just a speculation!....
And i believe the public has not shown up in masses because they really have no one to look upto as a true leader. They've been thru all this way too many times, to the point that people are just fed up and hopeless.

Yes, that is true. It's also why despite all the predictions about Musharraf's doom, especially since the Emergency was declared on 3rd November, he remains securely in power. Ironically, he is more powerful now, after taking his uniform off, than when he was wearing it - and even after the Emergency has been lifted.
Re: 'Citizen' Musharraf still holding the cards in Pakistan.
her is only secure till his illegal alteration of the constitution is thrown out by an elected assembly, that is if he allows free and fair elections which under him is not possible. In a free and fair elections he will be history within not time at all.

Firstly, he was going to be history when he rput the emergency on.
Seconodly, it was when he was going to take his uniform off.
Thirdly, after he lifted the emergency.
Now it is within no time after the elctions.
Alhamdulilallah. His tenure is increasing by the day. :)
Re: 'Citizen' Musharraf still holding the cards in Pakistan.
That is the bad luck for Pakistan. Still there is a time for his honorable departure before elections. Don't you think?
Re: 'Citizen' Musharraf still holding the cards in Pakistan.
After the elections Musharraf will be even stronger than he is now, but that is something that people vehemently against him will not concede now or then. But just wait and see how Citizen Musharraf get's stronger and stronger at every turn. :)
