Re: Chrome
what is AL?
It's an app for the older, wiser generation. Tum nahi samjho gey kyun ki tum itney nanhey ho :@:!
OK, it's a song from the 80s. The lyrics go something like:
If you'll be my bodyguard
I can be your long lost pal
I can call you Betty
And Betty when you call me
You can call me Al
Samaj aya?
Click the spanner and then go to tools and disable extensions.
How often do you restart Windows?
Re: Chrome

Chrome chrome tera naam pukaare
Ek hue din rain hamare
Sajdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Re: Chrome
CDG, due to my limited knowledge in this area, here is something I found from the Internet. You can try it if you wish or just wait for someone to tell u something else.
Step 1:
In Chrome, click the wrench icon, select "Options" then "Under the hood". Hit the button at the bottom that says "Reset to defaults".
Step 2:
On the same screen, make sure "Use DNS pre-fetching" is un-checked.
Step 3:
On the same screen, scroll down and press the button that says "Change proxy settings".
Step 4:
This assumes you are on broadband (with a pen and paper, write down your current settings so you can back them up if things go wrong). Click on "Lan Settings". Make sure "Automatically Detect Settings" is un-checked. Click "Ok".
Step 5:
Go to the Window XP/Vista Control Panel (Start, Settings, Control Panel). Load up the "Network Connections".
Step 6:
You will now see a list of the network cards and bridges on your computer. Only one of these is used by your computer to connect to the internet. For example, if you are using wireless internet you will only be using the wireless connection. Right click on each other connection and select "disable". You should only have one enabled connection.
Step 7:
Restart your machine. Turn it off and on again. This is a very important step.
Step 8:
Google Chrome will now be working fully. If not, then clear your history and cache and restart the browser.
Re: Chrome
Niki, I'm doing a full scan using Microsoft Security Essentials and will try that once it's done. BUT I installed a updated version of Google Chrome and can't find "options." I see settings and tools though.
Re: Chrome
^^ Yeah I couldn't find it too. Thought maybe it isn't an option in Mac Chrome. Hmmm. Lemme see.
Re: Chrome
OK so the new chrome doesn't have Options > Under the Hood, but Advanced Settings.
Go into Advanced Settings and you'll see the other stuff mentioned above.
Re: Chrome
Half the time it doesn't even go to settings. :/
UGHH so frustrating
Re: Chrome
Oh wow.
This happened with me just a few days ago. Chrome wouldn't budge. I just re-installed and it worked fine. I hear it's a pretty common problem with Chrome. But that's not what you want to hear at this time, do you CDG? :(
Re: Chrome
Checked ur add-ons ? Stop the int connection anf see if it gives the error message straight away or it still keep working on something if the message comes straigt away that mean ur browst is redirecting to something else.change ur default brows then use chrome.
Re: Chrome
I seriously don't know what happened with Chrome but I did a system restore to yesterday. There was a windows update yesterday and today and java update. I did a system restore to yesterday and its all fine now. I wonder if it was the Java update that messed up chrome?
Re: Chrome
^^ Now ur sounding like a geek
!
Re: Chrome
Now the Java update is back…I’m scared to update it. ![]()
Re: Chrome

Or, just ask Tofi. That kinda always works.
