if i were a genetic engineer entrusted to genetically modify an apple, i surely would have made the apple as big as a HUGE kaddoo [Pumpkin] from which an entire clan could eat. 
but then, the phrase “an apple a day…” would NOT be true anymore! it would rather be “a bite of an apple a day…”
