Choice for place of burial?

Re: Choice for place of burial?

Just gone through the essay by Kishwar Naheed on 'Madam Noorjehan'. She said that while Egypt's Umm e Kalsoom was buried with official protocol in Egypt, we didn't do much for Noorjehan's burial. Even, she was buried in Karachi (saying ajnabi zameen for Noorjehan) as she passed most of her life in Lahore. Kishwar Naheed says that family of Noorjehan should have given a chance to people of Lahore to pay homage to the legend and making her funeral memorable.

This also reminds me Azhar Lodhi saying in Zia's funeral 'kash aaj sadr e Pakistan zinda hote to dekhte, unke janaaze main kitne log aae huwe hain'.
