i think THE DAYS OF GETTING KAAM WALAY OUTFITS FOR 5OOO-6000 RUPEES (sorry pressed caps key, i aint shouting honest) are long gone but the prices some of these stores are charging are way over the odds. Whenever my mum goes to pakistan which is pretty much every year she always come back complaining about the increasing prices. I always get her to visit Chinyere but she always says the outfits look way better in the magazines and on facebook and in real life they aint all that and she has yet to bring me back an outfit from Chinyere that passes her standards!
I'm not loving there stuff this year :(
Are you guys kidding me? i do understand that at this time considering the economy and all all these prices do seem high but i am sorry i think people who live abroad have absolutely wrong idea abt how much costly things r here. They think u can get a formal joda for 2-3k but that's not possible anymore. It cud have been possible 10 years bk maybe but certainly not now.
How much do you think an average tailor takes for stitching such an outfit? def atleast around Rs.1000 for the full suit and it wouldnt be designer good sticthed. And then add the cost of the fabric, embellishment and all the workmanship on it. So how can anyone in their right frame of mind expect these kind of dresses to be around 2-3k?
i again apologize cuz this post is not aimed for anyone in particular but for everyone who seems to think that here in Pakistan clothes sell in pennies.
Maham u live in pak so u obviously know better than us but i recently showed few of my dresses i got stitched from some designer from pak to another friend who recently came from pak and even though this dress had good amount of stone work on chiffon,my friend said Rs 5000-6000 was way too high. she said she got similar style from Shadmaan for far less. i just dunno wat to belive. need another trip to pak now :)
There are girls who operate from their homes, and they've actually gone to artistry schools for poor families, and so they know how to stitch. They'll take 300 for a lawn outfit. Maybe 500 for something more fancy.

Did anyone order/buy anything from their newest collection? I went to the store a few days back and looked at a few outfits. I really liked some plus there was a 10%-30%off on some fabric and cut pieces.
