Re: Chinese Strategist Argues for India's Disintegration
Just because China (and Pakistan) wishes India to disintegrate in 517 pieces, it is not going to happen. First there is the $52 billion trade between India and China. China knows perfectly well the number of job losses that an attack on India will entail and precisely because of that there is a strong lobby in the south China (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou and even Tianjian) with strong Indian presence that will fight tooth and nail to preserve their jobs. Most Guppies who salivate at the thought of India disintegrating, do so because they have no presonal consequences of the event. Let us see how many will honestly say that I am willing to lose my job if the US or UK company I work for goes bankcrupt because their Indian customer cannot pay his bills due to India disintegrating.
Secondly, this is not 1962. India now is a nucleqar power, certainly capable of destroying major cities of China and China's railway lines. Sure, there will be consequences for India but not without serious destruction in China.
Thirdly there will be serious military and economic consequences from US that China is ill-equipped to handle. As it is, US recession is hemorraging China millions of jobs every month. Will China want to take more internal unrest that is sure to follow almost certain US sanctions?
I expect a more mature discussion from "senior members" rather than just wishful thinking.
